Summer School Dates and Registration Information

Summer School 2018 Course Catalog

All students residing in High School District 211 may enroll in our tuition Summer School program. Summer School provides opportunities for students to improve academic skills and to explore new interests. It also enables incoming freshmen to become familiar with the high school routine.

Online registration begins on April 9 at 7:00 a.m. for Conant, Schaumburg, and Hoffman Estates High Schools and April 11 at 7:00 a.m. for Palatine and Fremd High Schools. Please register early. Walk-in registration is also available. Decisions to run most classes will be made by May 25. Class sizes must be limited, and classes will close when the limit is reached. Classes with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled.

2018 Summer School

First Semester
Wednesday, May 30 – Wednesday, June 20 (No school on Fridays)
Mandatory attendance on June 20

Second Semester
Thursday, June 21 – Monday, July 16 (No school on Fridays)
No school on July 4
Mandatory attendance on July 16

A student that misses the first two days of a Summer School semester will not be allowed to attend class that semester.

Registration Information

Online:
Online registration for Summer School courses can be completed through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, which can be accessed through the school website’s homepage or by clicking this link: https://campus.d211.org/campus/portal/township.jsp. Once you are signed into Infinite Campus, click the link in the lower left hand corner which reads “Registration and Lunch Prepayment.” From there, you can register for Summer School courses available to your student.

First Semester Registration
–– Online registration begins April 9 at 7:00 a.m. for all current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors at CHS, SHS, and HEHS and closes at 3:00 p.m. on May 29.

Online registration begins April 11 at 7:00 a.m. for all current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors at PHS, and FHS and closes at 3:00 p.m. on May 29.

Second Semester Registration
–– Online registration begins April 9 at 7:00 a.m. for current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors at CHS, SHS, and HEHS and closes at 3:00 p.m. on June 20.

Online registration begins April 11 at 7:00 a.m. for all current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors at PHS and FHS and closes at 3:00 p.m. on June 20.

Incoming Freshmen Summer School Registration
Summer School registration begins April 16 for all incoming freshmen. All registration hours and closing dates apply. Registration must be completed at the school the student will attend in the fall.
INCOMING FRESHMEN MUST CONTACT A COUNSELOR BEFORE REGISTRATION CAN BE COMPLETED.

Walk-in Summer School registration hours at Conant:  8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Walk-in:
All registration dates apply. Current and incoming District 211 students must register at their home high school with their counselor.

Parochial school students who live in High School District 211 boundaries may register for academic classes at the Administration Center on the first day of registration.

Out-of-District Students – Register on May 25 and May 29 at:
Township High School District 211, G.A. McElroy Administration Center,
1750 South Roselle Road in Palatine.
Out-of-District students are not eligible to register for camps.

How:  After students have met with their counselor and have made course selections, registration can be completed for students at the high school they will attend during the 2018-2019 school year OR online. Online payment is available for District 211 families by using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal found on your child’s home school website.

Online payment can be made with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Parents desiring to complete registration online may do so by using the same username and password that has been previously provided. Walk-in and online registrations must adhere to deadlines as stated. Payment for walk-in registrations may be done by cash, check, or credit card.

Transportation: Students who pay in person for transportation will receive a temporary bus pass upon payment at the school where they register. If payment for transportation is made online, parents will be notified via email when a route has been assigned. The student then needs to see their counselor to get a temporary bus pass. A permanent bus pass will be issued to eligible students on the first day of attendance.
