The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for high school students that motivates and recognizes musical achievement.  There are nearly 2,900 chartered chapters throughout the world.  The objectives of Tri-M are simple:  to increase student and school involvement with music and to strengthen and unify the school music program.  There are four requirements for being in Tri-M.

  1. A student must have been enrolled in a high school band, choir, or orchestra for a minimum of two semesters.
  2. A student must have a G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher in academic classes.
  3.  A student must have a G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher in any or all music classes.
  4. A student must be in good standing with the entire music faculty.

Active Tri-M members involve themselves in many activities both in and out of school.  Last year Tri-M provided ushers for many of the performances during the school year.  Tri-M members also traveled to Chicago to see performances of Blue Man Group and Phantom of the Opera.
